As President & CEO of LTBD, Tim Hawkins previously guided the growth of one of the leading outsourced accounting solution providers in the Washington, D.C. region. As a senior advisor to many of the firm's clients, he divided his time between working with commercial businesses, government contractors and clients in the nonprofit and association space, where he served as an outsourced CFO and provided strategic counsel in accounting and financial strategy. It was out of the this experience that Leveraged CFO was born.
Tim also served as one of LTBD’s business development leads, driving the effort to cultivate relationships with new and established clients and develop strategic partnerships with outside firms and other industry leaders.
Tim’s experience prior to launching LTBD in 2004 includes multiple stints in public accounting where his clientele included nonprofit organizations and financial firms. In addition, he worked in financial analysis and management for MCI Worldcom, where his role entailed budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial staff management. Mr. Hawkins also served six years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear power engineer.
Tim is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. His leisure-time pursuits include travel, interesting business ventures, and a growing boy named Lincoln.
